A Movement Born from the Community
The Kenya Network of People Who Use Drugs (KeNPUD) was founded in 2012 through a collective initiative by people who use drugs in Kenya — united by a shared determination to improve health outcomes and eliminate the harms of drug use and dependency.
We bring together grassroots and civil society organizations to represent and support people who use drugs in Kenya, forming a unified voice towards minimizing barriers to healthcare and harm reduction services.

Programmes & Impact

Harm Reduction & Health Access
Community-led validation meetings and research to enhance uptake of harm reduction services for women who inject drugs, peer support, and medically assisted therapy access.
Policy Reform & Representation
Active participation in MAT Baraza sessions, methadone clinic advocacy, and national policy forums to eliminate stigma at harm reduction centres across Kenya.
Community Empowerment
Technical assistance workshops addressing bottlenecks to engagement through Global Fund CESI support, with field visits to strengthen KENPUD affiliates in coastal regions.
